GPS Mapserver (Bushnell and Virtual Technologies)

Bushnell, the industry leader in sports-optics development for more than 50 years, also makes a GPS. The Bushnell Onix GPS family is the world's first handheld GPS to download satellite and aerial images for navigation. Customers download images from the Bushnell web site and it’s directly calibrated to the satellite for navigation. This technology is opening a whole new length of opportunities for the outdoors fanatic.

Customers can plan an adventure from their home computer by exploring, making waypoints, trails, and routes. Plotting a course can save time and effort towards doing it in the field as well as giving the customer an idea of the terrain before ever setting foot in it. Then once they have designed their objects they can be easily downloaded to the GPS unit.

Pictured is the web site that was designed and developed by Sensory Technology Consultants (http://www.sensorytech.net) of Ogden, who are a subcontractor to Virtual Technology LLC (http://www.virtuallp.com), a HubZone enterprise based out of Rio Rico AZ. The web site was launched on December 31, 2007 and utilizes state of the art technology to bring the most up to date maps to the consumer.

Lincoln County Wyoming Project (SES)

Sensory Technology Consultants worked as a consultant to Select Engineering Services on an information system for Lincoln County, Wyoming. The information system handled property taxes, motor vehicles, and general clerk and treasurer functions. The majority of the work performed was mentoring, data transformation, and reports. The application utilized .NET against a SQL Server database.

ChemSecure Project (NASA)

The purpose of the ChemSecure Phase II pilot was to (1) Control Item Content and Staff Credentials Based on Real-Time Information (2) to Ensure Safety and Security of Personnel and Chemicals; (3) to Push Organized Mission Critical Data to Emergency Responders when addressing Chemical Accidents; The ChemSecure Phase II pilot enhanced the HMMS application using Sensor Based Technology and Real Time response technology to track Hazardous Materials using Radio Frequency ID tags. For this project an Edgeserver was developed in JSP and a Business Rule Application Server was developed in .NET. Both products ran against an Oracle database.
